SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S VISITOR ECONOMY NOW WORTH $6.9 BILLION
South Australia is welcoming a record number of visitors – seeing our visitor economy soar to an all-time-high of $6.9 billion. Domestic travel continues to be the highest contributor with visitation and expenditure both at record highs. To find out more, view the

NEW SERVICE EXCELLENCE WORKSHOPS
The South Australian Tourism Industry Council, working closely with the SATC, is hosting multiple industry workshops in the coming months in different regions across South Australia. Spaces are limited so be sure to book early to secure your spot.
 
THE DEN OPENS AT MAYFAIR HOTEL
Last week Adelaide’s five star boutique hotel, Mayfair Hotel, opened a new bistro called
The Den. Open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm, The Den is located on the lower-ground floor from the Hotel’s King William Street reception area. Since opening over three years ago, the Mayfair Hotel strives to continually improve and innovate the property and has been embraced by both locals and visitors.
 
KANGAROO ISLAND NAMED EMERGING DESTINATION
Travel Lemming has recently listed Kangaroo Island in their top 6 emerging destinations for Oceania in 2019. The website describes the Island as the “world’s most beautiful fence-less zoo” and encourages readers to take in the views and experience some of the local wine. For more information

SA’S WHEELS IN MOTION FOR SANTOS TOUR DOWN UNDER
South Australia’s streets are preparing to welcome thousands of spectators, with the Santos Festival of Cycling and Santos Women’s Tour Down Under kicking off yesterday. The action-packed ten-day event will put SA on show to the world as the biggest names in international cycling battle it out through the city, suburbs and some of the State’s most picturesque vineyards, hills and seaside towns. BRABHAM BT62 AT SUPERLOOP ADELAIDE 500
Former Formula 1 driver and multiple Le Mans winner David Brabham will steer the Brabham BT62 through the streets of Adelaide at the 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500. In between its daily on-track appearances, the Brabham BT62 will also be displayed in the General Admission Precinct alongside several other historic Brabham race cars. For more information
